Civil War Bars

Join us in making this beautiful 67”x 83” civil war quilt.  The quilt has beautiful browns, blues, pinks, and soft greens in it.  I can just picture it during the civil war period!

This ‘block of the month’ is a little different in that you’ll be getting enough fabric to make a row (or bar) in the quilt each month as opposed to just a block.  There are 7 rows with a striped sashing in between them and then the quilt is bound – there are no borders – I love quilts with no borders!!!  I think they look wonderful!  We will run this as an 8-month program starting March 1^st and finishing in October.  The cost will be $16 per month.  Check out the color photo of the quilt in the shop or on our website and joint us starting March 1^st!

Quilted Cabins

Quilted Cabin Block Samples

Starting April 1st, we’ll be offering a new block of the month called “Quilted Cabins”.  Quilted Cabins is a 55” x 62” quilt with a beautiful log cabin block in the middle surrounded by entirely pieced house blocks.  But that’s not all!  The house blocks have a bit of a surprise. . . each of them has an old quilt square which makes up the side of the house.  The quilt is then finished with a row of log cabin blocks across the top and the bottom and then a border all the way around the quilt.

This will be a 10-month program.  Months 1 thru 8 you will get a different house block to piece, the 9^th month you will get the fabric for the center log cabin, and in the 10^th month you will get the fabric for the log cabin rows for the top and bottom of the quilt as well, the fabric for the border that goes all the way around the quilt, and the binding.  The cost for this wonderful block of the month is $10 per month.  We do have pictures of some of the blocks on our website and in the shop.  So, check them out and join us each month for this fun and easy quilt and make your own “Quilted Cabins”!
